Beauty Queen

I just did an illustration for an article about beauty pageants and children. The piece turned out ok but I had to make some major changes. I also wish I could have painted the illustration instead of coloring it in Photoshop but, I was under a half day deadline. A real rush job. The finished illustration. Because of the weird dimensions (13.6"x 5.5")I had to drastically alter the original concept. My initial sketch for the illustration:
